As you can see, the sepoy mutiny is a rebellion of he Indian Sepoys against the British. This was because of the rumours that went around that the sepoys would be sent to Europe or Turkey to fight their fellow Muslims. The sepoys did not want to fight their fellow Muslims and thus rebelled against the British.When the order was given to sent the Sepoys to Hong Kong, the rebellion took place. The rebels went around killing innocent Europeans. The Mutiny did not affect Singapore much as it only concerned the Europeans and many of the Indians did not want to join in, causing only anxiety among the Singaporeans.The entire Sikh community also remained loyal to the British throughout the mutiny. This mutiny let the British realized their lack in defense and that Singapore could be attacked from both the inside and the outside.
