The Great Deppresion

The Great Depression affected the entire world as America, the world's largest economy, crashed.Many people lost their jobs and the remaining ones has their pays cut. The people in Singapore were also affected with many of them becoming unemployed. They then has to depend on their family or their relatives to support them. When their relatives could no longer support them, many people has to return to their homeland. The Govenrment then had to restrict the number of people coming to Singapore and the number of immigrants fell drastically. However, the economy soon recovered and things returned to normal.
